Look What God Made!!!

Too many pictures to share on Facebook and I really want you to see them all. The vistas here are amazing and we love seeing all the animals. Yesterday, cars had to stop near our campground to let two buffalo cross the road! The buffalo clearly had the right-of-way!!

Yesterday we went to Mt. Rushmore. The drive up there was stunning and the carvings were even more impressive than they are in pictures. There was a big horn sheep roaming around the property. He didn't seem at all bothered by us humans! We are so glad we made the effort to go. We also went to the Crazy Horse memorial mountain, which isn't completed. It will be quite impressive when it's finished as well.

Last, we drove up the "Needles Highway" to see the magnificent rock formations. We drove through tunnels in which we held our breath, hoping the car would fit! We stopped to view an overlook and discovered dozens of chipmunks on the rocks there. One actually took a cracker from my hand!! Toooo cute!!!!

Today we are going to see the Badlands - really looking forward to that.

We've decided that we love South Dakota - just wouldn't want to be here in the winter!
