I began drawing with a pencil in 6th grade -- more years in the past than I care to think about! I first started drawing faces -- with eyes being my specialty. Through the years, I continued to draw while also expanding to do a little charcoal and for a while, some oil painting.
My niece, Dijonna, introduced me to scratchart -- a very talented young woman who doesn't do near enough with what God has given her! I was facinated by the detail she could create with the medium, and my strong attraction to contrast in all things art only added to my facination! In 2008, I made my first attempt and was immediately hooked! I then began the process of self-teaching through trial and error.

Scratchboard art is now a passion and I thoroughly enjoy the work. True, I probably make about .43 cents per hour!, which is certainly an indication of how much I love doing what I do. Faces are still my specialty, and I particularly love doing portraits. Therefore most of my work is done by commission. However, from time to time I like to mix-it-up and do something a little different. Some of these pieces I will post here for sale.

I hope that you enjoy browsing through these images, and can appreciate the work, and love, that goes into each one.
