Another Goat Trail!

This goat trail wasn't as bad as the last one. This one was at least a little wider. We had narrow, winding, paved roads for most of the way off the main highway except for about the last 2 miles or so.

I have a video I wanted to post, but it says it's too big to send. Lots of water on the sides of the road.

Mississippi River

The Mississippi River was over its banks into the delta when we came across at Helena, AR. Haven't seen it that high in quite some time.

We are on the Tarkington farms in central Arkansas - our brother-in-law and sister's place. When I say farms, I really mean FARMS! Here's a pic of the view from our front windows...

SMALL part of the farm operation.

Sam Tarkington farms 5,600 acres in rice, soy beans, and corn. Interesting operation. We always enjoy coming here at Thanksgiving. It's different being here in the spring. We had a terrible rain and wind storm about 2 hours ago. Gary was out with Sam and I was here alone. It was the strongest wind I've been in while in the coach. Have to admit I was a little scared! But the coach didn't move!! The wind is still high and the power went out. Thanks to the generator, we were still able to watch our favorite TV programs! Gary had his TV and his ice cream and all is well!

I got to hold new baby, Causey. She was a week old today and of course adorable! So is her big brother, Stone (2 years old).

Causey Blake Tarkington

I won't write more until we move on to the next stop. Keep us in your prayers.

Love

Vicki
